Ben surprised us with a call again this morning. The team has arrived at Camp 3 and the winds are low. When at Camp 2 I could hear the winds outside his tent. Today everything sounded calm. He sounded strong and excited. They will leave for Camp 4 tomorrow morning at 7 or 8 Everest time - about the same time we are in the midst of tonights evening activities (MST). Then they will stick to the plan and leave Camp 4 around 9 pm the following day (9 am MST, Saturday morning). YIPEE!
The important prayer concerns at this time of the trip are for strength, focus, mental health, and of course physical health. I will also be praying that they do not get stuck in any bottlenecks and are able to keep moving on the mountain and in order to stay warm.

Hi Ben,
I've been following your trip with eagerness and excitement and hope this will culminate in your complete success. I'm praying that the Lord will take care of that "back" problem and that he will be with you until you get back home after the summit safe and sound and with no real problems to overcome. Keep looking up and trusting in HIM. Love, Grandma
Praying for you, Ben- that you will get some rest now and feel ready to go when the time comes. I posted this blog on facebook for my friends to pray as well. I'm looking forward to seeing your pictures in person, maybe in early July when I go to Colorado.

Wow - to think Ben will on the world's highest mountain tonight around 7 pm our time!!! Praise God for Ben's patience in waiting for this moment and strength to accomplish this arduous climb. It truly is a dream.
5:45 Sunday morning (your time). You were hoping to summit around 7:00 a.m. Will be thinking about you and praying for the whole team until we get the news we've all been waiting for. Go, Ben, go!
