Heading for Lobuche

Well, our rest day is finished here in Dingboche. Tomorrow we head further up the Khumbu Valley for the even more desolate village of Lobuche - elevation 16,100'. We are all doing well as a team and feeling healthy, therefore, we will go straight to Everest Basecamp on the 8th and skip Gorak Shep. This will be nice as our basecamp facilities are second to no other team on the mountain. I will be able to start sending pictures again from there as our satellite/modem/DSL connections are more reliable.

More coming real soon. Thankyou for your continued prayer and encouragement.

Hello Ben,
I don't know if you remember the Andersons in Canon City, but I'm the mom. I've been following your blog for the past few days. Yesterday I was very proud of the stand you took for truth. I am reminded of the 3 Hebrews of the book of Daniel who told the king, "Our God is able to deliver us..." May the Lord keep His hand upon you. My prayers are with you and your family, too.
Love,
Connie

YIPEE! for moivng along quickly. I am so glad the team is healthy enough to do this together. One day advantage is great - if it means more time to acheive your goal or a quicker return home. Both are good.
Love you!
Diana & Alexander
P.S. Alexander says "I love you"

Ben this is dad. I am extremely proud
that you think of our Lord God the way
you have spoken. Truly, truly He is
the only Way, Truth and Life. Keep looking up and the God of all peace keep your heart in Christ Jesus.
